Shooting
Range

  1. FOLLOW ALL FIREARM SAFETY RULES:
    • TREAT ALL FIREARMS AS IF THEY ARE LOADED.
    • NEVER POINT A FIREARM AT ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.
    • KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET.
    • BE AWARE AND ALWAYS IDENTIFY YOUR TARGET.
  2. Eye and ear protection are to be worn at all times. Closed-toed shoes are required.
  3. Valid photo identification is required.
  4. All Federal, State, and Local laws must be obeyed and will be enforced. Convicted felons are not allowed at the range.
  5. All forms of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco are prohibited. No person under the influence of alcohol or drugs is permitted in the range.
  6. Children: under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times; under the age of 15 are not allowed to shoot machine guns; under the age of 10 are not allowed in the range. Exceptions can be approved by the Range Officer.
  7. Commands issued by range personnel must be obeyed immediately and without question.
  8. When the command “CEASE FIRE” is given, stop shooting IMMEDIATELY and await further instruction from range personnel. A “CEASE FIRE” can be called by ANYONE at ANY TIME if they feel that safety has been compromised.
  9. No shooters may go or reach beyond the firing line unless the line has been called COLD.
  10. All firearms not on the firing line must be unloaded. All firearm manipulations including: firing, loading, casing, malfunction clearing, etc., must be done on the firing line while the line is HOT. Loaded handguns leaving the range must be holstered while on CORC property.
  11. Firearms left unattended anywhere in the facility will be reported to law enforcement.
  12. Two people are allowed to be in a lane, with only one firing at any time.
  13. Please ask for range officer permission prior to any holster, quick draw, or rapid fire shooting.
  14. Know how to safely operate your firearm. If assistance is needed, notify range personnel.
  15. ABSOLUTELY NO TRACERS OR INCENDIARY ROUNDS ALLOWED! Any use of these rounds will result in immediate and permanent removal from the range.
  16. Use of armor piercing ammunition, any ammunition with steel or ceramic material, or flame producing ammunition is prohibited. Range Safety Officers must be notified if you plan to shoot reloaded ammunition.
  17. Range personnel reserve the right to inspect any firearm or ammunition.
  18. Please do not offer assistance, help, advice, or “pointers” to other shooters unless asked for. Teaching or instructing for a profit/fee by a member, guest, or visitor is not permitted on CORC property without express written consent of CORC.
  19. Each shooter will be held financially responsible for any damage caused to CORC property or equipment, whether accidental, willful, or otherwise.

Archery
Range

  1. Only equipment in good working condition and suitable for target practice may be used.
  2. Do not dry fire any bow.
  3. Paintball guns, air guns, pistols, rifles, or other high-powered weapons are prohibited from use in the archery range.
  4. Never point a bow at another person.
  5. High draws are prohibited.
  6. Arrows should only be nocked on the firing line and remain pointed in the direction of the targets.
  7. All archers must fire from the designated firing line, not in front of or behind it.
  8. All spectators, or people on the range not firing, must remain well behind the firing line.
  9. No one is allowed down range of the firing line unless all firing has ceased and everyone on the range is aware that they are going down range.
  10. Check your equipment regularly for cracks or twisting. If in doubt, have it checked by a bow technician.
  11. No running in the archery range is allowed.
  12. Do not draw a bowstring back further than the length of the arrow for which it is intended.
  13. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Exceptions can be approved by CORC Staff.
  14. Please observe a limit of five arrows per end.

Axe
Throwing

  1. Only equipment in good working condition and suitable for target practice may be used. All customer provided items used on the Axe Throwing Range must approved by CORC staff before use.
  2. Closed-toed shoes are required to throw. No loose clothing, hoodies, or brimmed hats. High heels are prohibited (boots are OK).
  3. Archery equipment, sling shots, slings, paintball guns, air guns, pistols, rifles, or other high-powered weapons are prohibited from use in the axe range.
  4. Only throw at the designated targets. Never throw an axe at another person.
  5. If an axe or other thrown item bounces do NOT attempt to catch it. It’s called axe THROWING not axe CATCHING.
  6. All throwers must throw from the designated firing line, not in front of or behind it.
  7. All spectators, or people on the range not throwing, must remain well behind the throwing line.
  8. No one is allowed down range of the throwing line unless all throwing has ceased and everyone on the range is aware that they are going down range.
  9. No running in the throwing range is allowed.
  10. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Exceptions can be approved by CORC Staff.
